Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and assisting customers with their bakery needs, and ensuring they leave satisfied.
• Promote bakery products through engaging in selling, answering questions, and accommodating special requests.
• Ensure strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are followed in accordance with company guidelines.
• Oversee bakery operations including inventory management, ordering, and production schedules to meet demand.
• Supervise the daily production of baked goods, ensuring items are fresh, high-quality, and presented according to company standards.
• Manage team performance, offering guidance and feedback to maintain a motivated and effective bakery team.
• Delegate tasks, prioritize workflow, and follow up on team performance to ensure smooth operations and timely product availability.
• Conduct accurate inventory counts and ensure proper stock levels are maintained by ordering products as needed.
• Monitor sales and financial goals, including gross profit, payroll, and supplies to meet departmental objectives.
• Decorate cakes to meet company standards or oversee the decorating process to ensure quality and creativity.
• Track product movement, using department tablets for efficient communication and timely updates on orders, pre-books, and product availability.
• Assist with team development, including training and giving constructive feedback to foster growth.
• Ensure the presentation of bakery displays meets corporate standards and is fully stocked for customer satisfaction.
• Handle daily paperwork, ensuring accuracy in departmental reports and communication with management.

Essential Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Passion for cake decorating and creating visually stunning products.
• Basic math, writing, and computer skills for managing inventory and records.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety standards and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
• Ability to operate bakery equipment, including bread slicers, mixers, and more.

Have some food service or cake decorating experience but want to learn the rest? Dont worry! We provide hands-on training to help you succeed.
