Position Remote Contract Japanese Interpreter. Overview Propio Language Services is a leading interpreting and translation provider founded in 1998. We deliver remote and on‑site services in over 350 languages to more than 9,000 clients. Our mission is to close the language gap through innovative technology. Contract Responsibilities Provide consecutive, first‑person interpretation. Follow interpreter protocols, procedures, and Propio policies including confidentiality and ethics. Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge for clients (medical, legal, social services, etc.). Requirements Updated resume in English at time of application. English Language Proficiency with ILR rating of 3 (technical proficiency) or higher. Successful completion of a mock oral interpretation session meeting 24 quality standards. Completion of Propio’s Online Medical Terminology, Anatomy & Physiology assessment with passing score. Full background check and security screen. Signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year interpreting experience.
