Position Summary:

The Testing Proctor’s main function is to supervise students during testing, maintain test integrity and an environment conducive to testing, and lastly to be proctor trained in ALEKS and TEAS testing processes and procedures.  

Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Testing Administrator, the Testing Proctor is responsible for providing direct support for students who utilize the Testing Center through effective performance in these essential duties:

  • Prepare the computer lab for testing by sanitizing workstations and ensuring computers and testing software are working properly before testing. 
  • Checking in students with their college or Government issued identification. 
  • Maintaining a distraction-free testing environment. 
  • Providing information about testing policies and procedures for students. 
  • Supervising students during testing to maintain test integrity. 
  • Maintaining test documents in the file cabinet.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in a related field with relevant work experience.

Candidates must possess proven ability to effectively work with culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and students. They are expected to have excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an academic testing center, educational environment, or similar proctoring/testing role.
  • Familiarity with ALEKS and TEAS testing systems, including setup, troubleshooting, and adherence to testing protocols.
  • Proficiency using computer labs, testing software, and basic technology troubleshooting.

Salary:

$34.06 hourly.
